Andrew Okrzesik Biography
Andrew Okrzesik (Hairy Spice) was born
on January 21, 1992 in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He grew up in Alsip, a suburb of Chicago.
Andrew started playing "polka drums" at the age of five while listening to polka CDs. For the Christmas right before his 13th birthday, he got a bass guitar.
He had already played around with his brother's guitar, so he picked up the bass quickly. Andrew plays bass with FreezeDried, but
also plays the drums and keyboards. Andrew has also learned to play "Stormy Clouds" on the concertina.
Other than FreezeDried, Andrew has performed with Almost Evil with his Uncle Ed, and The Alex Mazza Extravaganza.
He has written and arranged a few songs with 'Logical Confusion', a progressive rock band he's in.
Songs include, "Your Effect", "Eye of the Sun", "Mirage", "Confusion", "Sinister Sircus", and "Flow".
Andrew currently lives in Homer Glen with his parents, Tim and Annamarie and fellow FreezeDried member, AJ. Other than eating, Andrew enjoys playing, writing and listening to music.
